I'm not a grinch, really. I swear. This is my favorite time of year. I love seeing my family (we are scattered all across the country and I usually only get to see them once a year so it's very special!) and love the cool Florida winter and love giving gifts. I work in healthcare (until I make it big as an author--wink, wink) and talk to patients all day. Almost every single person I come into contact with asks me, "Are you ready for the holidays?" Just know that when you're face-down (or "prone," as we say in the biz) on the table, I'm rolling my eyes.
Is it just me or does that get annoying? Maybe it's because I'm an INFJ and would rather have a root canal than have small talk.
I think maybe they assume I'm married and have kids and so getting ready for the holidays entails endless shopping, baking, and all that jazz. I'm single with no offspring so I do minimal shopping and minimal cooking/baking. (Did I mention I work two jobs on top of writing fantasy thrillers?)
Anyway, I'm getting to the real reason for my post. I've decided to revise the first novel in the Black Shadows Series, The Devil You Know. It's the same book, same story, same characters. Only this time, I'm giving you more insight into Dr. Cecilia Harper. More character development, if you will. I felt like she was the least interesting character and well, that's a problem since she's the MAIN character. The thing is, she is interesting. In my head. I'm just going to show you that now.
Hey, you live and learn.
Stay tuned for the re-launch in January and then the sequel, Shadow House, in March!
